Clearly, you’ve never spent time with a tortoise! The beasts are nothing near their caliber! A tortoise creep is some serious covert nom seeking business. It requires lots of skill and knowledge (you only see one tortoise here but there are others.. that’s the covert part.)
Tortoises are wise creatures that remember more of history than those humans you posted ever learned. For example, here is Jonathan. Jonathan is the worlds oldest tortoise, 182 years old. He has seen the worst and best of humans and he has learned enough to survive despite us. He’s also FAR more progressive than those close-minded beasts you posted. He doesn’t subscribe to those oppressive ideas of gender and sexuality.
Tortoises can be kind and sharing creatures. Sure, they are out for some tasty noms, but they won’t hog the whole head of lettuce! Nope, they’re happy to team up with even the smallest fur beasts and coerce the humans into refilling the food bowls. They’ll always tip a friend back over even if they didn’t do the tipping to begin with.
Tortoises and their turtle brethren have endured incredible obstacles to survival created by humans and yet they persevere! All they want is a healthy planet with a place to dig, some dandelions to nom, and a sun puddle to bask in. What they need to be healthy and safe. Isn’t that all of our goals?
So please, stop comparing the heartless man-beasts to tortoises! Those humans don’t deserve to be in the same yard space with a tortoise and really? Have any of them ever looked this cute?
I didn’t think so.
On that note, PLEASE go vote so we can stop the shaming of innocent Tortoise and maybe save our planet and the people (and creatures) in need who live on it.
Happy 4th of July, America.
May these amazing shells outlive all this generations demons. This has been an important PSA brought to you by @Tort-time ‘s human.
